Created in 2000 following the merger of two prestigious French agencies, DIAF and La Photothèque SDP, Photononstop is headed by its two co-founders, Gilles Taquet and Christian Delannoy. Formerly founder chairmen of NDLR, a 1990s flagship agency specialising in public relations consultancy, they were among the pioneers of the first rush for the web in 1994.

Through their expertise in this new medium they were perfectly positioned to take advantage of the double revolution awaiting photographic agencies of the time, namely the shift from film to digital, and from local to global circulation.

Today, Photononstop has a choice of 15,000,000 images on its site by French and European photographers, covering themes as diverse as Daily Living, Lifestyles, Travel, Cookery, Interior Decoration, or Fashion and Beauty, etc.
