It crosses the River Liffey in Dublin connecting a new residential and public quarter of the city to the main docks. The span resembling an Irish harp is supported by 31 cable stays from a tubular arc. It has four traffic and two pedestrian lanes and opens through an angle of 90 degrees allowing ships to pass through.
